Job summary

Jabil is launching a new factory in Prince George, VA, and seeking an Industrial Engineering Technician II to support layout planning, process improvements, and data management. You will work with the Industrial Engineering team to establish production flow and systems from ground up.

Responsibilities include updating IEDB, creating visuals, ordering/tools, and ensuring standardized processes while supporting Lean initiatives and site security policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Broad range of industrial engineering tools (e.g., work measurement, process mapping, facilities/workstation design).
• Detail-oriented with data integrity for systems updates.
• Basic analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with teams.
• Proficiency in PC use; MS Office, Visio, Project; CAD tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in area preparation for line moves or process changes.
• Update the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB) per Industrial Engineer guidance.
• Create/update production visuals as directed by the Industrial Engineer.
• Order, receive, and validate tooling as directed.
• Support standardization of Jabil processes site-wide.
• Assist Lean program with data integrity to enable process improvements.
• Follow site security procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

The product will be large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. This position will be part of the core factory startup and onboarding team responsible for building the operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating the process flow/work instructions/etc. from the ground up.
