Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking an engineer to analyze and design sequences of operations to improve plant and production efficiencies. You will study cost control, inventory, and production record systems, and help implement facility improvements. Requires a Bachelor's in engineering (ABET-accredited) and 0 years of exempt experience.

Relocation assistance is available. This is a full-time role with a first shift and travel up to 25% as needed.

Responsibilities

Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts.
May establish accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
Develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
