ETS Staffing client seeks an Industrial Engineer to join their manufacturing team in Plattsburgh, NY. The role is on-site, first shift, and full-time, focusing on equipment specification, upgrades, and project leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical/industrial engineering degree, 1–2 years in plastics manufacturing, and strong design skills using AutoCAD. Travel and occasional flexible hours may be required to support major projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required.
• 1–2 years in plastics manufacturing preferred.
• Strong mechanical design background; AutoCAD 3D experience a plus.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and occasional flexible hours for major projects or system issues.

Responsibilities

• Specify, develop, and upgrade production equipment with leadership involvement.
• Lead facility expansion projects including building modifications, HVAC, compressed air, and cooling systems.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S continuous improvement initiatives.
• Design and detail mechanical components for manufacturing equipment using AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and performance; validate new equipment installations.
• Work with vendors to obtain specifications, quotes, and manage procurement.
• Deliver technical presentations to leadership and customers.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate cross-team efforts.
