Job summary

PGM Corp is seeking an Industrial Engineer to drive productivity, quality, and cost improvements on machining and manufacturing operations. You will spend most of your time on the production floor, working with operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams to identify waste and implement practical solutions that improve throughput, reduce cycle times, and enhance safety.

You will map value streams, develop standard work, perform time studies, and lead Kaizen events, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2 years of experience in a machining/manufacturing environment (internships ok).
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) required or to be obtained with company support.
• Familiarity with machining processes and GD&T reading.
• Proficiency in time studies, capacity planning, and root-cause solving.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Create current-state and future-state VSMs to map material and information flows.
• Develop standard work procedures, labor hours, cycle times, and takt times.
• Perform time and motion studies and line balancing.
• Lead Kaizen events to boost throughput and reduce waste.
• Train shop-floor operators on new standard work and CI tools.
