Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Industrial Engineering or Industrial and Systems Engineering discipline with at least 2 years of experience, or Masters in technical or business discipline with a BS in Industrial Engineering or Industrial and Systems Engineering with less than 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software and AutoCAD.
• Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform “Top Level/Rough Cut” Capacity Planning and support Make vs. Buy process with capacity analysis.
• Develop process flows/roadmaps using simulation tools with inputs from the Manufacturing Team (Production, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality, Production Control).
• Design work center layouts to ensure safety and on-time delivery.
• Improve efficiency of processes by analyzing the Eng Standards vs Actual Run Times.
• Identify, prioritize, and implement solutions for process improvement opportunities including lean manufacturing principles, process mapping, and root cause analysis.
• Develop metrics to measure plant and equipment capability output and identify bottlenecks.
