Job summary

KBR, Inc. in the United States is seeking an Industrial Engineer (Contingent) to analyze, design, and improve processes across TACOM operations.

You will evaluate workflows, conduct time studies, and implement Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to boost productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. The role supports maintenance, logistics, and data-driven decision making under Army standards, with potential contingency work and security clearance as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Typically 2-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations analysis.
• Proficiency with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with data analysis, time studies, and workflow assessments.
• Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current processes, workflows, and operations to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct time studies, process mapping, and workflow analysis.
• Support planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance and logistics activities using data analytics and performance metrics.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, or process optimization efforts.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and operations personnel to implement solutions.
• Assist with facility layout, workflow design, and space utilization planning.
• Ensure compliance with Army Technical Manuals (TMs), safety standards, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and analysis for program leadership.
• Support audits, inspections, and government reviews.
