Hunter Douglas, the world’s leading manufacturer of window coverings, seeks an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations and drive efficiency. You will design layouts, analyze processes, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, capacity planning, and supporting new product launches.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3 years minimum IE experience in manufacturing; 5+ years preferred.
Experience with time studies, labor planning, cycle time analysis, and capacity planning.
Knowledge of plant layout design, process optimization, line balancing, and workflow improvement.
Ergonomic assessments and safety principles in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize plant layouts, process layouts, and material flow strategies to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Conduct cycle time studies, labor analyses, and workforce planning to support production requirements and capacity utilization.
Analyze production processes and balance manufacturing lines to maximize productivity and reduce inefficiencies.
Perform ergonomic assessments and safety evaluations, implementing corrective actions to reduce risk.
Lead industrial engineering studies, capacity analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Support new product launches and process transfers by establishing layouts, process flows, cycle times, and staffing requirements.
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain standard work, metrics, and performance improvement plans.
Identify and remove industrial engineering barriers impacting safety, quality, productivity, or delivery.
