Industrial Engineer – Austin, MN

Hormel Foods Corporation is a leading food company based in Austin, MN.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate major industrial engineering projects, including new methods, plant layouts, equipment installations, capacity analysis/utilization, and manpower planning.
• Implement labor standards, ergonomic improvements, productivity initiatives, and standard labor cost construction.
• Apply product knowledge and problem‑solving skills to enhance efficiency and production capability for maximum profitability.
• Provide plant operations teams with solutions on equipment layouts and plant capacities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of successful Industrial Engineering experience.
• Pattern of initiative and proven problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Understanding of the DMAIC process and its application to continuous improvement.
