Cavco Industries, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join the Manufacturing & Engineering team. The role focuses on manufacturing operations, facility design, plant layout, and process improvement within a home-building environment.

You will support efficiency initiatives, workstation design, line balancing, and material flow optimization, gaining exposure to operations, engineering, and continuous improvement activities that impact performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and optimizing plant layouts to improve productivity and space utilization.
• Conduct time studies and labor analyses to establish labor standards.
• Support line balancing initiatives to maximize throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
• Assist with workstation design and ergonomic improvements for assembly operations.
• Develop and maintain facility layouts, process flow diagrams, and manufacturing documentation.
• Evaluate material movement and implement improvements to reduce handling time.
• Support equipment installation, relocation and commissioning projects.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Participate in facility expansion and production line improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams on improvements.
