  • Develop office, engineering, and manufacturing layouts.
  • Coordinate employee moves, furniture installations, and workspace reconfigurations.
  • Manage small facility renovation and capital projects.
  • Coordinate contractors, architects, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Review architectural drawings and apply basic construction knowledge.
  • Support new facility startups and facility readiness activities.

Job description

Industrial Engineer I – Facilities & Real Estate supports planning, design, optimization, and continuous improvement of company facilities. The role is responsible for space planning, seating capacity analysis, AutoCAD drawing management, workplace layouts, furniture planning, contractor coordination, facility readiness, and execution of small facility improvement projects.

Major Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate AutoCAD drawings and facility layouts.
  • Analyze seating capacity and optimize workplace utilization.
  • Develop office, engineering, and manufacturing layouts.
  • Coordinate employee moves, furniture installations, and workspace reconfigurations.
  • Manage small facility renovation and capital projects.
  • Coordinate contractors, architects, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Review architectural drawings and apply basic construction knowledge.
  • Support new facility startups and facility readiness activities.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 1 year of experience in facilities planning, AutoCAD, construction coordination, or project management.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Facility planning, space utilization, and workplace design principles.
  • AutoCAD drafting and facility layout management.
  • Basic commercial construction methods and interpretation of construction drawings.
  • Project management fundamentals, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • AutoCAD drawing creation and maintenance.
  • Space planning, seating analysis, and workplace optimization.
  • Project coordination involving contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication, organization, and customer service.
  • Ability to develop efficient office, engineering, and manufacturing layouts.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
