Job summary

Generac is seeking an Industrial Engineer I to support planning, design, and continuous improvement of facilities. The role focuses on space planning, seating capacity analysis, AutoCAD drawing management, and coordinating small facility projects.

The candidate will develop layouts for offices, engineering, and manufacturing, coordinate moves and furniture, review drawings, and assist with budgets and schedules to improve workplace efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline.
• 1 year of experience in facilities planning, AutoCAD, construction coordination, or project management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate AutoCAD drawings and facility layouts.
• Analyze seating capacity and optimize workplace utilization.
• Develop office, engineering, and manufacturing layouts.
• Coordinate employee moves, furniture installations, and workspace reconfigurations.
• Manage small facility renovation and capital projects.
• Coordinate contractors, architects, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Review architectural drawings and apply basic construction knowledge.
• Support new facility startups and facility readiness activities.
• Maintain occupancy, space planning, and project documentation.
• Assist with project budgets, schedules, and capital planning.
• Drive continuous improvement in workplace efficiency and standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
