Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, through its subsidiary Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), seeks an Industrial Engineer to support operations in Flint, Michigan, servicing General Motors. The role focuses on analyzing and improving material flow, inventory control, and production support in a high-volume automotive environment.

The engineer will partner with operations leadership to design efficient processes, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement across logistics and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve material flow, inventory movement, and production support processes.
• Design and optimize warehouse layouts and workstations.
• Develop PFEP methodologies.
• Conduct time studies and labor analysis.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and customer teams.
• Develop reports and performance metrics for management review.
