Job summary

AIRSYS USA is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team, focusing on productivity improvements and labor optimization across operations.

You will conduct time studies, develop labor standards, balance lines, analyze throughput metrics, lead Kaizen events, optimize material flow and support ERP updates, with exposure to Lean, DMAIC, and root-cause analysis in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing IE experience.
  • Experience with labor standards and workflow analysis.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and Minitab.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or layout software.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct work measurement and time studies using stopwatch methods, MTM, and MOST.
  • Develop labor standards, staffing models, and standardized work processes.
  • Balance production lines and analyze workflows from receiving through shipping.
  • Analyze cycle time, takt time, OEE, downtime, and labor utilization.
  • Lead Kaizen events and waste-reduction initiatives.
  • Improve material flow, routing, Kanban, and supermarket systems.
  • Develop and maintain Manufacturing BOMs and routings.
  • Support ERP updates and new product introductions.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, PDCA, DMAIC, and root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Planning, and Engineering.
  • Create management-level reporting and visualizations using advanced Excel, macros, and Power BI.

Job description

AIRSYS is seeking a results-driven Industrial Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. This role will focus on improving productivity, optimizing labor utilization, eliminating waste, developing labor standards, and supporting operational excellence across our manufacturing operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct work measurement and time studies using methods such as stopwatch studies, MTM, and MOST
  • Develop labor standards, staffing models, and standardized work processes
  • Balance production lines and analyze workflows from receiving through shipping
  • Analyze cycle time, takt time, OEE, downtime, labor efficiency, and utilization
  • Lead Kaizen events and waste-reduction initiatives
  • Improve material flow, routing, point-of-use inventory, Kanban, and supermarket systems
  • Develop and maintain Manufacturing BOMs and manufacturing routings
  • Support ERP updates and new product introductions
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, PDCA, DMAIC, and root-cause analysis
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Planning, and Engineering
  • Create clear management-level reporting and visualizations using advanced Excel, macros, and Power BI
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • Approximately 3–5 years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with labor standards, workflow analysis, line balancing, Lean manufacturing, and productivity improvement
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD or other layout software
  • Experience with at least one simulation platform, such as FlexSim, Arena, Simio, or Witness
  • Proficiency with Power BI and Minitab
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or another ERP system
  • Experience working with manufacturing execution systems

This is a full-time, exempt position in an office and manufacturing plant environment. Occasional travel and participation in evening or weekend events may be required.
