This Industrial Engineer works with the extended industrial Engineer team to develop and improve production processes. This position will use good data collection and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot root causes. They will also assist with implementing corrective measures or improvements to the production processes. The individual should be proficient in time studies, layouts, and material flow.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering Strong background in manufacturing processes, process improvement, and operational optimization. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred. Internships or Co-op experience in Industrial and Mechanical systems including packaging, layouts, conveying, and product handling.
Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including occasional lifting to 50lbs. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of manufacturing systems Effective in time management and delegation. Skilled in debugging and root cause analysis Demonstrated knowledge of Lean philosophies and experienced in practicing those applications. Analytical and problem-solving skills Prior knowledge of using any ticket tracking system (i.e. Jira) Prior knowledge of using PLM system (i.e. Agile) would be a benefit Knowledge of manufacturing systems Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.) Proficient with AutoCAD

Fast paced work environment Certain areas are considered loud work environments and will require ear protection.
Extensive use of computer equipment, and frequent telephone activity. Periods of extended sitting, walking, and standing are required. Activities such as bending and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. Employee must be physically capable of completing and satisfying all training requirements as stipulated by Company policy.
