Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3-5+ years of Industrial Engineering in manufacturing.
• Automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier experience preferred.
• Experience supporting production launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Analyze labor utilization, equipment performance, workflow, and facility layouts.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, labor planning, and capacity analysis.

What You'll Do

Optimize Manufacturing Performance

• Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Analyze labor utilization, equipment performance, workflow, and facility layouts.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, labor planning, and capacity analysis.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions and manufacturing best practices.
• Identify automation opportunities and innovative process improvements.
• Engineer solutions that improve workplace safety and operational effectiveness.

Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives

• Drive Lean Manufacturing efforts across the facility.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, and Six Sigma projects.
• Utilize root cause analysis and structured problem‑solving methodologies to address operational challenges.
• Lead projects focused on productivity improvements, waste reduction, inventory optimization, quality enhancements, and cost savings.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure improvement effectiveness.

Support New Program Launches

• Partner with Production, Materials, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and Program Management teams to successfully launch new programs.
• Design and implement production layouts, work cells, and warehouse configurations.
• Optimize manufacturing methods and material flow strategies from concept through production implementation.

Manage Projects That Deliver Results

• Lead cross‑functional projects from planning through execution.
• Build business cases and cost‑benefit analyses to support capital investments.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities while maintaining customer and quality requirements.
• Support annual productivity planning and budgeting activities.
• Maintain facility layouts and CAD drawings as required.

Collaborate Across the Organization

• Work closely with production leadership and support functions to achieve operational goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.
• Drive employee engagement in improvement initiatives and problem‑solving activities.
• Serve as a trusted technical resource throughout the organization.

What We're Looking For

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline preferred.

Experience

• 3-5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting production launches, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
• Experience with Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, and waste elimination tools.
• Expertise in time studies, labor analysis, line balancing, process optimization, and facility layout design.
• CAD software experience for facility and process layouts.
• Experience with automotive manufacturing processes such as injection molding, painting, plating, assembly, and material flow management is a plus.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
