Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking an Industrial Engineer in Minneapolis, MN to provide technical leadership on systems and test equipment projects. You will integrate PLCs, troubleshoot complex automation, and collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and test plans.

Responsibilities include supervising small teams, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring successful project completion with hands-on hardware/software integration using Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLCs and SQL

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
• Experience in systems or industrial engineering.
• Experience with PLCs and equipment integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or automation-related field.
• Preferred: Experience with Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC.
• Preferred: Experience in SQL and databases.
• Preferred: Experience in working complex system integration projects.

Summary:

• Integrates and troubleshoots Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for complex automated systems.

• Collaborates with stakeholders to capture and manage system requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

• Develops and executes test plans, analyzes test results, and drives corrective actions.

• Supervises small teams and manages project schedules, budgets, and resources for project completion.

• Designs and architects complex systems involving hardware, software, network components, and PLC systems.

• Maintains in-depth knowledge of relevant technologies and provides technical assistance to team members.

• Uses Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC for equipment integration and control.

• Works with SQL and databases for system integration.

• Designs and implements complex human machine interfaces in a production manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Experience in systems or industrial engineering.

• Experience with PLCs and equipment integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to work under minimal supervision.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field) or technical degree in automation (Industrial Controls, Robotics, or related field).

• Preferred: Experience with Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC.

• Preferred: Experience in SQL and databases.

• Preferred: Experience in working complex system integration projects.

• Preferred: Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies.

• Experience planning and executing equipment control projects.
