Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to drive manufacturing excellence through process optimization, Lean initiatives, capacity planning, productivity improvements, and cost reduction programs. This role partners with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to improve operational efficiency, quality, and safety within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and production systems to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Perform capacity planning, line balancing, bottleneck analysis, and throughput improvement activities.
- Design and improve manufacturing layouts, material flow, workstations, and ergonomics using AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
- Support SAP manufacturing master data, including BOMs, routings, and production standards.
- Conduct statistical analysis, process capability studies (Cp/Cpk), and performance evaluations using Minitab.
- Lead FMEA activities, root cause analysis, CAPA support, and process mapping.
- Drive automation and capital improvement projects, including ROI evaluations.
- Develop SOPs, work instructions, validation documents, manufacturing plans, and engineering reports.
- Train production personnel on new processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, operations, or continuous improvement.
- Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Industrial Engineering, and process optimization.
- Experience with capacity planning, workflow analysis, line balancing, and productivity improvement.
- Proficiency with SAP, BOMs, Routings, and manufacturing ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and Minitab.
- Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience within Medical Device, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Electronics, or other regulated manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, cGMP, CAPA, Process Validation, and FMEA.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
