Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our Supply Chain team in Litchfield Park, AZ. You will learn and analyze processes across the distribution network and apply best-practice methods to improve a fast-paced retail business.

The role involves project justification, vendor selection, ROI estimation, and managing capital projects from requirements through budgets. You will work with internal partners, operations leadership, and vendors to implement process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or similar engineering degree.
  • At least 1–3 years in a technically related field.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating distribution processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Capable of leading and managing projects to improve distribution processes, including planning, proposal, execution, and evaluation.
  • Adaptability to changing business requirements and technologies, and strong problem-solving skills to implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

We prefer some of these qualities as well….
  • Familiarity with simulation and/or data modeling and visualization software
  • Experience in project management
  • Familiarity with automated material handling equipment or robotics
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools such as warehouse management systems (WMS), labor management systems (LMS), warehouse execution systems (WES), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Lean Six Sigma certification – Greenbelt or higher
  • Experience in distribution or logistics

  • Able to walk to any area within the facility (warehouses typically 1M+ square feet)
  • Able to stand for stretches of time (2+ hours)
