  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume or automated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in capacity planning, time studies, line balancing/bottleneck analysis, and advanced Excel modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing concepts, material flows, and facility layouts to eliminate bottlenecks and support production goals.
  • Perform time studies, line balancing, and utilization analyses to build transparent capacity and workforce models.
  • Lead structured kaizen initiatives using root-cause analysis to reduce waste, stabilize processes, and verify sustainment.
  • Build KPI dashboards and analyze production data using statistical tools to deliver actionable insights to leadership.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders through equipment installation, commissioning, trials, and production handovers.
  • Author and maintain production engineering procedures, technical guides, process maps, and training materials.

Job description

Job Summary

An Industrial Engineer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization outside of Greensboro, NC. The Industrial Engineer will be designing, analyzing, and optimizing manufacturing systems and production engineering processes. In this role, you will leverage objective data, cross-functional collaboration, and technical communication to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and overall productivity.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field, accompanied by at least 5 years of experience in high-volume or automated manufacturing. Proven expertise in capacity planning, time studies, bottleneck analysis, advanced Excel modeling, and technical writing for engineering standards is required. Candidates should also possess strong project management skills and comfortably operate within a plant environment. This is a long-term contract and our client is only seeking local talent currently.

Location & Contract Details

Location: Liberty, North Carolina

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $57 - 72 per hour

Work Hours: 8am to 5pm

Education: Bachelors
