Job description

Optimize How We Build, Pack, and Ship at Scale

Role: Industrial Engineer
Company: Coastal Trading Ventures (CTV)
Location: Fort Worth, TX (Warehouse, Onsite)

You might currently be a Senior Process Engineer, Process Engineer (Supply Chain), Continuous Improvement Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Lean/Six Sigma Engineer, or Program Manager (Industrial Engineering). If you've built labor standards from scratch, run time-and-motion studies on a live warehouse floor, and turned line-balancing or slotting redesigns into measurable cost-per-unit savings, you'll recognize this role.

Coastal Trading Ventures (CTV) is a high-growth eCommerce fulfillment operation powered by smart systems and a team that takes operational excellence seriously. We're investing in the infrastructure, technology, and people that will define how we scale and this role is an important part of that work.

This is a greenfield seat. We're building our own WMS in-house, and you'd be the first industrial engineer on the ground shaping it, not adapting your process to someone else's off-the-shelf software, but defining how physical labor flow and system logic fit together from scratch across an 8,000+ SKU environment.

We're not just moving products, we're building the infrastructure behind one of the fastest-growing Amazon operations in the country. We're looking for an Industrial Engineer to own the efficiency of our warehouse operations: eliminating waste, setting labor standards, and redesigning workflows across an 8,000+ SKU fulfillment environment.

If you want to see your work translate directly into P&L impact - fewer wasted steps, lower cost-per-unit, faster throughput, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Serve as the first industrial engineer on the ground for our in-house WMS build, shaping system logic around real physical workflows rather than retrofitting process to an existing platform
  • Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities across all warehouse zones
  • Conduct floor-level time-and-motion studies to establish baseline labor standards and standardized work procedures
  • Analyze high-volume kitting and assembly workflows to break through labor bottlenecks in manual packaging (shrink-wrapping, boxing, bundling)
  • Optimize line-balancing, ergonomics, and component presentation to minimize operator reach, wait, and walk time across 8,000+ SKUs
  • Redesign pack stations, slotting logic, and pick paths to reduce travel time and eliminate unnecessary forklift and pedestrian movement
  • Map physical labor flow against our in-development WMS to identify gaps where software limitations force manual workarounds, and feed those findings directly into the build
  • Build poka-yoke (error-proofing) guardrails to ensure inventory flows without manual intervention or rework
  • Partner with Operations leadership to measure and report cost-savings metrics, translating physical efficiency gains into lower operational labor cost-per-unit
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt minimum; Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in process optimization and continuous improvement
  • Proven hands-on experience in e-commerce fulfillment, 3PL, or high-volume manual assembly environments (kitting, bundling, packaging)
  • Comfortable operating without an established playbook -this site is building its own WMS, so you'll be defining process alongside the system rather than working within a mature, pre-built one
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate raw data into actionable strategies
  • Strong root cause analysis skills and a track record of resolving bottlenecks through structural and layout improvements
  • Comfortable on the warehouse floor. This is not a desk-only role
