Job summary

NOV is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes at our Conroe, Texas facility. You will apply mechanical engineering methods to optimize workflows, lead projects for new equipment, and develop work instructions to ensure efficient, high-quality production.

The role requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 3–8 years of engineering experience and hands-on shop experience. NOV offers competitive wages and comprehensive health and welfare benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing methods and tools.
• Hands-on, shop-floor engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current manufacturing processes to identify improvements.
• Apply design knowledge to manufacturing workflows.

• Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions.
• Analyze production costs and quality metrics.
• Ensure operations follow approved methods and quality standards.
• Provide technical and hands-on support to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements
• Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing processes
• Complete Project Management for new manufacturing equipment and processes
• Development and maintain manufacturing work instructions
• Analyze costs associated with production and processes
• Monitor manufacturing operations to assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards
• Provide technical and hands on support to manufacturing shop as needed
• Other reasonable job duties as assigned

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• 3-8 years of Mechanical Engineering Experience
• Any shop or hands on experience required
