Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer with expertise in warehouse development, packaging engineering, and traditional industrial engineering to enhance operational efficiency and optimize processes. This role will focus on improving warehouse layouts, designing innovative packaging solutions, and implementing industrial engineering principles to streamline manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, material flow analysis, and packaging design, ensuring seamless integration across warehouses, production, and distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize time and motion studies, process mapping, and workflow analysis to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for production and logistics operations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality and process inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cost reduction initiatives and process standardization.
  • Design and optimize warehouse layouts, material flow, and storage systems for maximum efficiency.
  • Implement automation and digital tools (e.g., WMS, RFID, robotics) to enhance warehouse operations.
  • Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure warehouse scalability with business growth.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce handling time, improve inventory accuracy, and streamline workflows.
  • Design, develop, and improve packaging solutions to ensure cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and product protection.
  • Conduct packaging testing, validation, and material selection to optimize durability and performance.
  • Work closely with suppliers to source innovative and sustainable packaging materials.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and environmental sustainability standards.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and marketing teams to develop packaging solutions that meet functional and branding needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, warehouse development, or packaging engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), AutoCAD, and simulation tools for process design.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with packaging materials, testing procedures, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, data analysis tools (Excel, Jobscope, Power BI), and process simulation software.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) and/or Project Management (PMP).
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and manage multiple projects.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer Skills (MS Office including Excel, electronic scanning of documents, warehousing software etc).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • US Person.
