Job description

Our mission is clear: to be North America’s premier packaging solutions provider, simplifying client operations with innovative, technology-driven solutions. We are fueled by the values instilled by Nick Novy, aiming to not just meet but exceed industry benchmarks. Our purpose is to empower our customers with smarter business decisions through our expertise.

Korpack’s Promise: FAST and Beyond

Korpack stands for more than just speed. Our F.A.S.T methodology – Fearless, Adaptable, Simplistic, and Technology-driven – is a testament to our approach toward complex challenges. We’re not afraid to dive deep and tackle the toughest packaging puzzles with agility and clarity, all while harnessing the power of technology.

Culture: The Korpack Difference

In the heart of Korpack, there’s a culture that thrives on agility, innovation, and relentless pursuit of excellence. We’re not your typical packaging company. Our start-up spirit combined with our industry experience makes us uniquely dynamic. We embrace challenges, turning them into opportunities to innovate and grow. Our team, akin to a close-knit family, is dedicated to achieving success for our clients. We believe in building relationships based on trust, integrity, and mutual respect.

About the job

About the Job

Korpackis a food-grade, SQF-certified contract packaging company that has landed on the Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing companiesthree times in the last six years— andwe'renot slowing down. We'rein the middle of addingroughly150,000square feetof operating space, which means wedon'tjust have inefficiencies to fix. We have an entire footprint to design right the first time.

That'swhere you come in.We'relooking for an Industrial Engineer who physically cannot walk past waste without wanting to kill it. Someone who sees a forklift making the same trip four times and starts sketching a better layout in their head. Someone who looks at a production line and sees not what it runs today, but what itshouldrun.

The Journey

You'llreport to our Director of Manufacturing Operations and become the engineering brain behind how product, people, and materials move through our buildings. You'llalso partner with our Distribution & Supply Chain team on projects where material flow and warehouse design cross paths — because atKorpack, the walls between departments are lower than the racking.

Early on,you'llget your hands dirty: time studies, line balancing, changeover analysis, material move mapping. From there, you'lltake on the projects that move the needle — automation opportunities, throughput improvements, and layout design for our expansion. You'llturn tribal knowledge into documented standards inside our ERP, so what we learn scales with us instead of walking out the door at 3:30.

What Success Looks Like

  • Throughput rates climb, and you can prove it with data — not anecdotes
  • Material touches per order go down; every move a forklift makes has a reason
  • Automation projects go from idea → justification → installed → paying for themselves
  • Overhead cost per unit trends the right direction, quarter after quarter
  • Our expansion footprint is designed for flow from day one, not retrofitted later
  • Standards, layouts, and labor models live in systems, not in someone's head

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience that proves you can do the work
  • Demonstrated experience withautomation projects— scoping, justifying, implementing, andvalidatingresults
  • Track recordofimproving throughputin a real production environment (line balancing, changeover reduction, bottleneck analysis)
  • Experience analyzing and redesigningmaterial flow and material handling— layouts, move frequency, touch reduction
  • Strong data skills: you can build the analysis yourself (Excelrequired; Power BI and ERP data experience a big plus)
  • Manufacturing or packaging environment experience required; food, CPG, or contract packaging experience is a strong plus

The Challenges

We'llbe straight with you: this is not a role whereyou'lloptimizea mature, stable operation from a desk. We'regrowing fast, our product mix changes constantly, and some of the systems and standardsyou'llneeddon'texist yet —you'llbe building them. You'll juggle multiple projects across two facilities, and priorities will shift as our customers' needs shift. If you need everything defined before you can move, thisisn'tyour seat. If a blank canvas and afast pacesound like fun, keep reading.

The Reward

You'lljoin a company that has earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 three times in six years — and growth like that creates opportunity. We promote from within, we build seats around people who prove they can own them, and the org chart a year from now will have boxes on it thatdon'texist today. Your projectswon'tdisappear into a committee;they'llbe visible to leadership, measured in real dollars, and celebrated when they win. Andyou'llget something most industrial engineerswaita career for:150,000 square feetof new space to help design from scratch.

How We DISRUPT

Korpackisn'there to just make a boom in the packaging industry —we'rehere to DISRUPT it from every angle:

  • Determined— The right solutiondoesn'tcome easy, butwe'redeterminedto find it and implement it.
  • Innovative— The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible.
  • Responsive— Speed, agility, and accuracy in addressing our internal and external customers is in our DNA.
  • Proactive— Don't wait for something to happen, MAKE ithappen. You are what you do, not what you say you will do.
  • Teamwork— Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.
  • Smile— Smiles are contagious... be a carrier.

Ifyou'rea builder who wants your fingerprints on how a fast-growing company runs — not just a maintainer of someone else's system — we want to meet you.
