Expeditors Intl. Of Washington in Atlanta is seeking a Warehouse Facilities Engineer to optimize layouts, workflows and equipment for new and existing warehouses.

You will present findings to stakeholders and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to raise standards of efficiency and quality. Requirements include a Bachelor's in an engineering field, 1–4 years' experience, strong presentation and analytical skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project and the Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in related engineering field is required.
• 1–4 years of industry-specific qualification/experience.
• Strong presentation, analytical and communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills with clear, concise communication.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and OneNote.
• Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and determine optimal facility layouts, process workflows, labor allocation, and material handling equipment designs for both new and existing warehouses.
• Deliver results and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Conduct analysis, design, and procurement activities for new facilities and support start-ups.
• Collaborate with internal teams to establish Expeditors' warehouse standards emphasizing modernity, efficiency, and quality.
• Produce customer analyses with detailed facility layouts, visual processes and infrastructure requirements.
• Share warehousing best practices across the geographic region.
• Explore emerging warehouse technologies, assess applicability, and execute feasible projects.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate and determine optimal facility layouts, process workflows, labor allocation, and material handling equipment designs for both new and existing warehouses
• Responsible for deliverable and presentation of results and recommendations to stakeholders
• Conduct analysis, design, and procurement activities for new facilities and support start-ups
• Work closely with internal teams to establish and elevate Expeditors’ warehouse standards, emphasizing modernity, efficiency, and high-quality facilities
• Perform customer analysis responses with detailed facility layouts, visual processes and infrastructure requirements
• Disseminate warehousing best practices across geographic region
• Explore emerging warehouse technologies, assess their applicability, and execute feasible projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in related engineering field
• One‑four (1‑4) years of industry specific qualification
• Strong presentation, analytical, and communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and OneNote
• Willing to travel (up to 50% of the time)

Additional Information

Expected base salary: $72,000 – $100,000. Eligible for bonus.
