Job summary

INNIO Group in Wisconsin is seeking a hands-on technician to tear down, clean, inspect, and prepare older industrial gas compression and power generation engines for repair and overhaul.

This hands-on role focuses on safely disassembling engines, evaluating component condition, and preparing parts for repair, replacement, or reassembly, using a range of hand and power tools while adhering to safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical, automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or industrial repair experience.
• Ability to meet physical demands of industrial engine assembly.
• Ability to lift a minimum weight of 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble large industrial engines and components using hand and power tools.
• Clean engine parts and components using appropriate shop equipment and procedures.
• Inspect components for wear, damage, corrosion, and other conditions requiring repair or replacement.
• Use service manuals, drawings, and work instructions to support teardown and inspection activities.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to evaluate component condition.
• Properly identify, organize, and stage parts throughout the teardown and overhaul process.
• Document inspection findings and communicate issues to supervisors and other technicians.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe, organized work area.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.
• Assist with continuous improvement of teardown, cleaning, and overhaul processes.
