Job summary

Waukesha-Pearce Industries, LLC seeks an enthusiastic helper to support shop technicians in the repair and overhaul of industrial natural gas engines. You will perform shop cleanup, cooperate with coworkers, and ensure safe work practices while assisting mechanics in both shop and field tasks.

The role requires basic engine knowledge, ability to pass DOT testing if needed, and the diligence to complete time cards and service reports clearly.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma or trade school training preferred.
• Technical background or related experience in engine maintenance and repair preferred.
• Knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the role and to meet company objectives.
• Must have a current driver’s license and acceptable driving record if driving company vehicle.
• Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing as required by DOT if applicable.
• Must be computer literate; Windows-based software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repair and overhaul of industrial natural gas engines in the shop.
• Perform shop cleanup and cooperate with coworkers; maintain safe working conditions.
• Complete service reports, time cards, and other paperwork legibly and understandably.
• Assist Class A, B, and Journeyman mechanics and observe to gain knowledge.
• Participate in training programs offered by the company and promote safety and professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
