Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. is offering an Industrial Engineering Intern position. The role focuses on targeted projects with opportunities to observe operations, collect data, communicate cross-functionally, and present results to the Industrial Engineering staff upon completion.

Projects cover work measurement, cost-benefit analysis, process improvements, and operational planning, with exposure to AI, automation, and analytics tools to boost efficiency and support engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Industrial Engineering and/or Engineering related discipline.
• Effective statistical analysis skills.
• Effective research and communication skills.
• Enthusiasm, idealism, creativity and dedication to getting results.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively across business units.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Projects include, but are not limited to: Work Measurement in Master Standard Data (MSD).
• Cost benefit analysis.
• Process improvement analysis.
• Operational planning.
• Exploring and applying AI, automation, and data analytics tools to improve operational efficiency and support engineering initiatives.
