Job summary

Dataforth Corporation is seeking an Embedded Firmware Design Engineer to join our Tucson team. You will design, implement, and test firmware for rugged data acquisition and control products, working closely with hardware engineers to ensure robust integration.

You should have strong C/C++, RTOS experience, and the ability to debug complex embedded systems while contributing to design reviews and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role in Tucson, AZ.

Qualifications

• Strong embedded software and firmware development experience with real-time systems.
• Proficient in debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis in lab and field settings.
• Solid electrical engineering foundations for mixed-signal, analog, and digital integration with firmware.
• Experience with general software practices, version control, and documentation.
• Knowledge of C/C++, embedded operating systems, SPI/I2C/UART and test equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test embedded firmware for data acquisition and signal conditioning products.
• Collaborate with electrical and hardware teams to integrate firmware with new and existing designs.
• Debug firmware issues, participate in design reviews, and maintain technical documentation.
• Support product validation, verification activities, and maintain existing firmware platforms.
