Job summary

NGE Industrial Automation is seeking an Electronics Technician for on-site diagnostic, repair, and maintenance of industrial electronic equipment in Jefferson, GA. The role covers inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting servo motors, drives, VFDs, PLC modules, HMIs, and related components on a plant floor.

Responsibilities include component-level repairs (soldering/rework), OEM-compliant parts upgrades, and documenting actions and test results while adhering to safety/EHS procedures.

Qualifications

• Read schematics and interpret technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot industrial electronic systems and components.
• Solder through-hole and surface-mount rework; handle components safely.
• Perform preventive maintenance and restore equipment to OEM standards.
• Experience in industrial automation or manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electronics such as servo motors, drives, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs.
• Perform component-level repairs including soldering and rework.
• Verify performance through functional and safety testing.
• Document findings, repair actions, and test results.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians on-site.
• Mentor junior team members or trainees when needed.
