Job summary

Omega Plastics, LLC is seeking an electro/mechanical technician to perform general mechanical and industrial electrical maintenance across the plastics extrusion plant. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and handle preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, rebuilds and repairs on pumps, hydraulics, conveyors, and pneumatics.

This role requires reading blueprints, basic computer tasks, and a strong commitment to safety on 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm and 7pm–7am), seven days a week with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with electronics/mechanics coursework.
• 2–3 years troubleshooting electronic and mechanical components.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electric motors and controls.
• Welding, machining or fabrication training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical and electrical maintenance repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
• Service HVAC, compressors, facilities equipment and powered vehicles.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on all equipment.
• Set up equipment for changeovers and monitor cleaning to prevent damage.
• Enter work orders, look up inventories, log downtime and minutes.
• Use tools and diagnostic instruments safely and effectively.
• Respond quickly to emergency line calls and maintain housekeeping.
• Support safety hazard correction and communication.
