Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking an Electro-Mechanic to perform daily and non-routine maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems at our Columbus, OH facility. The role partners with Operators and Mechanics to troubleshoot plant equipment and support installation/start-up projects as needed.

Requirements include basic PLC programming and electrical knowledge; ability to read schematics; and skills in welding, pipe fabrication, and machining. This position is on-site in Columbus.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of PLC programming.
• Fundamental knowledge of Electrical power - voltages, amps etc.
• Read schematic drawings and install electrical equipment as per schematic.
• Calibrate drives and equipment such as meters, temperature controllers, level controllers and servo controllers.
• Test, repair electrical systems and devices, such as motors, switches, solenoids, etc.
• Run conduit and pull wire as necessary.
• Be able to do Welding, operate TIG/MIG/Plasma cutters, Grinders, Drills, and basic machining.
• Carry out Pipe Fabrication and layout as per drawings.
• Understand and repair mechanical equipment such as: Pumps, seals (including mechanical seals), Hydraulic operated machines, Gearboxes, Valves, air compressors, boilers, associated support equipment.
• Should have fundamental knowledge of lubricating oils and greases.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and non-routine maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Assist equipment Operators and Mechanics in operation and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
• Support project installation and start-up throughout the plant as needed.
