Job summary

Durand Glass Manufacturing Co. in Roosevelt Park, NJ is seeking a CE Electro Mechanic for a rotating shift in the Maintenance department. The role focuses on breakdown response, line start-up, and preventative maintenance of conveyors, robots, and related equipment.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, set up lines, assist with lehrs and related machinery, and train junior colleagues as needed while keeping areas clean and compliant.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical skills and basic knowledge of robotic arms.
• Able to start, stop and operate all equipment in cold end.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Must have 2-3 years’ mechanical and/or electrical experience in an industrial environment OR 1 year mechanic and/or electrical experience plus technical training/certification.

Responsibilities

• Intervene during a breakdown or power dip in the Cold End, Vap and Decorating Departments.
• Restart lehrs, single lines and maxon valves in case of power dips.
• Set up single line, packing line, labeler and case coder to assigned gauge.
• Preventative maintenance on conveyors and robots.
• Change cameras on the DRB for job changes.
• Preheat lehr for job start-up.
• Assist the hot end shift electro mechanic in case of necessity.
• Use typical mechanic’s tools and inspection gauges.
• Keep equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
