Job summary

Diageo is seeking a dedicated Electromechanic at our Hope Hull, AL facility. You will maintain plant reliability, perform preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and output.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Risk, Quality and Logistics to ensure safe and efficient plant operation. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and a commitment to Safe Systems of Work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience performing maintenance tasks in a manufacturing facility.
• Recognized apprenticeship or gained a mechanical or electrical degree.
• Higher National Certificate level qualification or equivalent within an FMCG industry.
• Numerical/verbal reasoning, Computer literate.
• Knowledge of asset performance and maintenance philosophy with strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety standards and Safe Systems of work; ensure compliance.
• Maintain a safe and organized workplace following MMS practices.
• Provide Electromechanic resources to the operations team.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules to defined frequency.
• Coach operators in autonomous maintenance and improve equipment capability.
• Support capital projects: installation, commissioning and testing.
• Participate in line improvement projects and asset care reviews.
• Attend Tier 1 meetings and support action tracking.
• Engage in early equipment management and MMS ITFs.

This role involves the effective use of maintenance systems data, completion of preventative maintenance activities and continuous improvement skills to deliver and improve on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and asset care. The ideal candidate will be flexible, possess tight-knit collaboration skills, and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesAt all times enforce Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards, and work to all applicable legislative procedures. Responsible for Safe Systems of work.Maintain a safe and organized workplace environment through alignment to the Safety and 5S MMS practices.Provide Electromechanic resource (electrical and mechanical) to the operations team.Accountable to ensure all assigned Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules are carried out at the defined frequency and completed to the required standard.Coach operators to perform autonomous maintenance tasks, machine set ups optimization and support growth in equipment capability as required.Support capital work, including installation, commissioning and testing within area as required. Responsible for feeding into early equipment management.Make full use of SAP - SAP reporting & recording completion.Review RCM activity on a weekly basis.Understands and uses MMS principles tools and techniques, supplying positively to MMS ITFsManagepersonal data in Workday e.g. P4G and personal details (specific responsibilities to be clarified)Attend and supply to SIC process. Complete short interval control documentation on activities.Raise 5 why’s as defined by agreed trigger points. Work with Operators and team leaders to play a proactive role in situational problem solving on shift.
