Job summary

The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking an ambitious Electrician to install and repair electrical systems across Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The electrician will work on industrial machinery and equipment, following OSHA/MSHA safety policies and company standards. Ideal candidates hold an Associate's degree in an electrical field with 2 years of related experience, possess a valid driver's license, and have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in an electrical field with 2 years related experience
• Driver's License and clean driving record
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating, maintenance, and procedure manuals; routine reports
• Knowledge of database software, internet software, and order processing systems
• Technical electrical skills and learning agility
• Problem solving and teamwork
• Ability to fit test & use PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting up to 50 pounds)

Responsibilities

• Performs all work according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Installs power supply wiring and conduit for machines and equipment (robots, conveyors, PLCs)
• Connects power supply wires to machines and devices and links cables between equipment
• Diagnoses malfunctioning transformers, motors, and electronics
• Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses issues with maintenance staff
• Replaces faulty electrical components and positions sensing devices
• Plans wiring layout and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus
• Drives between locations to fulfill responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned
