Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Burney, CA is seeking a qualified Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in our manufacturing facility. You will support machinery controls, sensors, and drive systems, while reading blueprints and schematics to guide installations.

We value safety and reliability; expect preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and opportunities for advancement within a large, regulated production environment. Overtime may be required during busy periods.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education.
• Understanding of industrial electrical safety, MCCs, three-phase power, running conduit, lighting, electrical, and hydraulic systems required.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and their programming, preferable.
• Read and understand blueprints and circuit diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in manufacturing facility.
• Maintain components to control machinery, including switches, sensors, PLCs, VFDs, and interfaces.
• Identify hazards and correct electrical defects.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect motors, switches, junction boxes, panels, breakers, transformers, lighting.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and electrical specifications.
• Install electrical conduit and pull wire.
• Maintain efficiency and safety of plant electrical circuits and equipment.
• Troubleshoot encoders, sensors, vision systems and other advanced devices.
• Identify and help implement process improvements to optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot issues calmly and follow complex verbal/written instructions.
• Perform general maintenance safely and keep work area clean.
• Overtime may be required during busy production times.
