Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, motor controls, transformers, generators, switchgear, MCCs, and automation.
- Strong ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electrical equipment and systems.
- Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment including multimeters and calibration tools.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, automation, VFDs, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with cranes, HVAC systems, compressors, welding and plasma cutting equipment, and power distribution.
- Understanding of single-phase and three-phase systems and transformer configurations.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices including LOTO and PPE.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain maintenance and inspection records and communicate status to supervisors.
- Ability to work independently and lead complex troubleshooting efforts.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems.
- Diagnose complex failures in motors, transformers, MCCs, and electrical distribution.
- Install, modify, and repair electrical equipment and control panels.
- Interpret complex electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Test and calibrate equipment using diagnostic instruments.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.
- Install and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
- Read and interpret motor control circuits and diagrams.
- Maintain documentation and communicate repair status to supervision.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures including LO-TO and standards.
