Job summary

Tenaris is seeking an Industrial Electrical Maintenance technician to perform advanced electrical and electronic maintenance, diagnose failures, and implement improvements in a steel mill environment. The role requires interpreting electrical drawings, calibrating PLCs, and ensuring parts availability to minimize downtime.

Candidates should be able to work rotating shifts, navigate maintenance systems, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Inspects, diagnoses and performs advanced electric and electronic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
• Follows up repairs ensuring the work is effective and compliant with procedures.
• Logs failure characteristics to determine root cause.
• Carries out repairs on 480V and below panels and protection systems.
• Interprets electrical drawings and diagrams.
• Calibrates instruments and electronic controls, including PLCs (Allen Bradley or Siemens).
• Maintains spare parts availability and verifies tool functionality.
• Participates in preventive maintenance activities and maintenance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Logs and analyzes faults to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Performs advanced maintenance inspections and upgrades on electrical systems.
• Operates forklift or overhead cranes when required to access equipment.
• Interacts with other areas and coordinates with external resources when needed.
• Updates maintenance systems and generates maintenance reports.
• Ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.

Industrial Electrical Maintenance

Performs electric and electronic advanced maintenance inspections, diagnosis, repairs and equipment improvements, providing permanent support in emergencies, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards.

• Inspects, diagnoses and performs advanced electric and electronic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
• Follows up repairs ensuring the performed work effectiveness.
• Be able to correctly log characteristics of the failure to help determine the root cause of the failure
• Carries out repairs and improvements on 480V and below panels and protection systems.
• Interprets electrical drawings.
• Calibrates and performs adjustments in electronic instruments and industrial PLCs. Allen Bradley or Siemens.
• Verifies and ensures the availability of spare parts
• Verifies the correct functioning of tools, instruments, parts and accessories checking they fulfill with specifications.
• Participates in preventive maintenance activities.
• Interacts with other areas.
• Able to work with outside resources
• Carries out forklift or radio control overhead crane operation when applicable.
• Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports.
• Steel Mill experience is a plus
• Electrical Instrumentation experience is a plus
