Job summary

Third Coast is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to maintain and integrate electrical systems in a demanding process facility. Under supervision, you will perform routine maintenance, install and integrate instrumentation, and address motor control circuits.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a technical school diploma or equivalent training, and adherence to safety standards including LOTO and permit-to-work procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Diploma from accredited Technical School; military electrical/electronic training required.
• In lieu of degree, minimum ten years field experience in industrial environment, without a degree; or any combination of experience and training that would provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
• Minimum of 5 years of Industrial electrical experience in a process facility.
• Minimum of 5 years of strong troubleshooting skills on motors, MCCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience following LOTO and permit-to-work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance, installation and integration of various types of process control instrumentation equipment such as transmitters, controllers, integrators, recorders, square root extractors and final drive elements.
• Make repairs to electrical power, motor and motor control circuits.
• Prepares for inclement weather by taking necessary precautions including, but not limited to, checking condition of heat tape, boarding of windows, securing loose equipment and any other related assignments as directed by District Management.
• Develops, prepares and presents recommendations and reports as requested.
