Job summary

METTLER Packaging LLC is seeking an experienced industrial electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and control systems within a manufacturing environment. You will read blueprints and schematics, troubleshoot PLCs and high-voltage components, and work with engineering and maintenance teams to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program.
• Experience working as an industrial electrician with knowledge of high voltage systems and electrical controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and practices.
• Valid electrician license or certification as required by state regulations.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting.
• Additional certifications in industrial electrical systems or related fields.
• Familiarity with pulling wire techniques in complex industrial settings.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Advanced training in electrical safety and high voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical wiring, equipment, and control systems including PLCs and high voltage components
• Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate electrical installations and troubleshooting
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and resolve electrical issues before they impact operations
• Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement and efficient operation of electrical systems
