Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Electrician/Electronics Technician to install, test, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment across the plant.

You will perform preventative maintenance, set-ups, and repairs, follow safety rules, and keep detailed maintenance records; the role requires 1–3 years of experience and knowledge of electrical control technology. This position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years in machine repair/maintenance and electrical/electronic control tech.
• Knowledge of electronic test equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and control technology.
• Knowledge of AC/DC voltage, drives, wiring, and PLC controls.
• Knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Repairs machinery and transfer systems per diagrams, manuals and specs.
• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical/electronic machinery and equipment.
• Maintains repair/maintenance records.
• Sets up, tunes and runs equipment around the plant.
• Follows safety rules and procedures.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Participates in safety and CI programs.
• Handles hazardous waste/materials per procedures.
• Prepares reports as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
