Lawrence Paper Company is seeking a dependable Electrician to join the maintenance team in Lawrence, KS. The role covers installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment across production and utility areas. Training will include work on first and second shift.

The position emphasizes PLCs, motor control, electrical schematics, and adherence to NEC/OSHA safety practices. Overtime and weekend work may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a manufacturing electrician.
• PLC programming experience or training.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays; able to respond to short-notice calls.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test, repair and adjust AC and DC motors and drive systems up to 100 hp.
• Diagnose, repair, calibrate, and adjust pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems (0-10 VDC).
• Diagnose, repair and adjust industrial controllers, including PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Baldor, Mitsubishi).
• Install/modify control and power wiring up to 480 V AC per NEC/OSHA.
• Read and modify electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Set up testing instruments and troubleshoot power transmission components.
