Job summary

Silgan Containers in Plover, Wisconsin is seeking an Industrial Electrician / PLC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. You will troubleshoot complex electrical systems, work with Allen-Bradley PLCs, and mentor others while owning electrical capabilities.

The role offers $35.82–$40.61 per hour on a 7-on/7-off schedule, with strong benefits, bonuses, and opportunities for career growth. Expect 12-hour rotating shifts with days and nights; complete yearly schedule provided on day one.

Qualifications

5+ years of industrial electrical experience.
Strong PLC troubleshooting/programming experience.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Ability to mentor, train, and provide technical leadership to other electricians.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and electrical compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of complex industrial electrical systems.
Mentor and train entry-level and journeyman electricians.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and support Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
Oversee and support PLC programming and controls-related work.
Develop and implement preventative electrical maintenance strategies.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Ensure electrical installations meet safety and compliance requirements.
Partner with operations and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
Promote a strong safety culture and proper electrical safety practices.
