Job summary

Austin Industrial seeks an Electrician to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures for industrial settings. Will diagnose malfunctions, locate causes, and perform repairs across diverse facilities.

Requires 3-5 years in an industrial environment, full-time and 40 hours weekly, with willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. Pre-employment screening and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of electrical power distribution system with voltages up to 13.8KV.
• Troubleshooting and repairing AC induction motors of all types, single and three phases.
• Use electrical test equipment including VOM, insulation resistance tester, micro-ohmmeter, Motor Circuit Analyzer (MCE).
• Develop working knowledge of PLC manufacturers and control systems for troubleshooting and interlock testing.
• Maintain safety awareness and follow plant safety procedures in all activities.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics; connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance with codes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using ohmmeters and voltmeters.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures with hand and power tools.
• Willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays; rotate shifts as needed.
