Job summary

National Pipe & Plastics is seeking an Electrician for our Colfax, NC facility to perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of electrical experience, the ability to read electrical drawings and schematics, and experience troubleshooting PLCs and electrical systems. This position requires physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and work with voltages up to 480V.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / equivalent or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least 4 years of electrical experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and electrical schematics.
• Testing electrical components with various meters to detect shorts, worn out or weak components and defective connections.
• Ability to understand and apply basic math skills.
• Ability to use power hand tools, tape measure, etc.
• Working experience of voltages up to 480.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical devices such as limit switches, lights, encoders, e-stops.
• Pull wire and make terminations of the complete electrical system for equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC's.
• Install and wire new equipment per electrical drawings.
• Ability to perform light mechanical work, and able to work independently.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
