Job summary

ofi is a global leader in food & beverage ingredients. The Industrial Electrician role is based on-site at our Oregon facility, reporting to the Maintenance Manager to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, PLC controls, and process instrumentation across the plant.

You will diagnose faults, calibrate instruments, and perform preventative maintenance while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. This role requires strong problem-solving and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Oregon State General Journeyman license required.
• 3 years of manufacturing electrical experience preferred.
• Forklift certification expected; uncertified can qualify with training.
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical and electronic testing techniques.
• Ability to read operation manuals and use precision diagnostic tools.
• Experience with PLC controls.
• Proficient with Windows/Office; English communication.
• Familiarity with industrial electrical laws.
• Must be able to work in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work on power distribution and PLC control systems.
• Conduit and conductor installation and terminations for various cables.
• Network cable installation, termination, and testing; panel wiring from schematics.
• Suggest improvements to designs, installations and safety practices.
• Operate and calibrate process instrumentation; setup tasks.
• Diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, control, and pneumatic systems.
• Review PLC code to assist fault diagnostics.
• Test safety systems such as detectors and gas sensors.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Maintain documentation of work and materials.
