Job summary

Quikrete – Aggregates in Ocala, FL seeks a Plant Maintenance Technician / Industrial Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment in a heavy industrial plant. The role emphasizes three-phase power, motors, VFDs, and control panels, with strong emphasis on safety and compliance with MSHA rules.

The candidate will perform mechanical maintenance, welding and fabrication as qualified, and work to minimize downtime while ensuring a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated industrial electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Ability to work independently and perform general plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• MSHA training is preferred/required.
• Florida electrician license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial three-phase electrical systems, motors, VFDs, starters, control panels, breakers, and power distribution systems.
• Perform electrical installations, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and repairs on crushers, screens, conveyors, and material handling equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform mechanical repairs, equipment installations, inspections, and general plant maintenance, including welding and fabrication as qualified.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Follow electrical codes, MSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies.
