Qualifications

• Three or more years’ experience in electrical repair of mining equipment preferred; will accept equivalent education in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Dismantles electrical control cases, panels, cable reels, and related electrical equipment.
• Removes all wire, cleans electrical connections, paints panels and control cases.
• Checks electrical components with volt-ohm meter; replacing or repairing parts as required.
• Using diagrams, reassembles and installs control cases, panel boards, cable reels and other electrical components.
• Tests function of re-assembled equipment, consults with supervisor when required.
