Job summary

Gulf Island LLC in Houma, LA is seeking an Electrician to perform electrical maintenance and repairs in the fabrication yard. You will work on motors, cranes, welding machines, and power hookups, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, motor repairs, wiring installations, and lights replacement, with emphasis on safety and compliance. Applicants must read and write, have 3+ years in an industrial setting, and pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as an electrician in an industrial setting.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must be able to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on electrical cables, plugs, sockets, fuses, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Repair and overhaul electrical motors on overhead cranes and welding machines; replace parts as needed.
• Install electrical hookups in the fabrication yard (outlets, 220V, 440V).
• Replace burned-out lights in office and shop areas.
• Repair electrical components in CB and two-way radios.
• Ensure motors, machines, and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
