Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks an Electrician for a Midland, NC project. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

The Electrician will read blueprints and install electrical systems, perform terminations, and manage wiring in accordance with plans and safety procedures.

This role requires travel and the ability to work in varying environments, from offices to outdoor sites, with strict adherence to PPE and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Safety training completed as required by SIC.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and building plans.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable with blueprints, sketches and building plans pertaining to type of material
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Prepares layout, using voltage tester, wire strippers, level, pipe benders etc...
• Terminates panels utilizing LOTO
• Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
• Run cable tray, pulls wire and bend various types of conduit.
• Understands motor controls and metering.
• Size branch circuit overcurrent protection devices.
• Calculate loads for single phase and three-phase branch circuits.
• Reviews and compares differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
• Follow directions, plans, and blueprints.
• Perform work overhead, beneath structure, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Significant travel may be required.
• Performs other duties as required.
