Job summary

NSG Group in Fort Thomas, KY is seeking an Electrical Technician to inspect, install and maintain electrical systems in our manufacturing facilities. You will read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, document repairs, and ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, calibration, training others, participating in audits, and adhering to 5S housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and testing the operation of electrical components and systems
• Installing new industrial electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus
• Identifying and repairing electrical problems using a variety of testing devices
• Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
• Carrying out preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and downtime in the facility
• Documenting repairs and maintenance procedures for future reference
• Adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
• Communicating effectively with management, engineers, and co-workers about maintenance progress and challenges
• Preform electrical maintenance as required to maintain the operation
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled
• Work on projects as scheduled or required to maintain the operation
• Required to assist in training others
• Participate in all audits: STOP Audits, GO Audits, internal audit, cross facility, management, and third-party registration audits
• Adhere to 5S and housekeeping standards and responsible for cleaning up of work areas upon completion of tasks
• Ensure work meets required standards
• Participate in required training and successfully complete required assessments or testing to verify understanding and knowledge
• Required to work in a safe, efficient, effective, and reasonable pace
• Other duties as assigned
• Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to work a 12-hour schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• The role involves prolonged periods of standing and walking, often exceeding 12 hours per day
• Candidates must be able to climb stairs, crouch, kneel, and maintain balance in various working environments
• The role will require the use of various PPE items including safety glasses, hi-vis clothing, respiratory, etc.
• The position also requires the ability to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift items over 50 pounds
• A successful candidate must be physically capable of performing these tasks safely and consistently in a manufacturing setting
